I loved this book First, I just like looking at it Its bold font and colors evoke the stark worlds that play out within Sims poetry Sims takes us through territory we all know and entertain survival, apocalypse, death, and all the anxieties inherent in each of those categories While she investigates those colossal topics and anxieties, she channels them into something human In her afterward she writes about the opening to McCarthy s novel, The Road is not the world ending event only I loved this [...]

Event and landscape are captured in this impassioned project While nothing is quite spelled out plainly, the intensity of the images and scenarios described is powerful I also really appreciate the afterword, where Sims talks about Cormac McCarthy and how one of his novels informed this work.
